- 25 Years Later, We Remember. On September 11, 2001, thousands of lives were lost and countless families were forever changed. In the midst of unimaginable tragedy, we also witnessed extraordinary humanity - people helping strangers without asking who they were, where they came from, or what they believed. But the aftermath brought another lesson. Fear and grief were turned against entire communities, simply because of who others perceived them to be. Twenty-five years later, we remember both. We remember those we lost. We honor those who helped. And we remember that fear should never determine whose rights matter or who belongs.
