There are quite a few new friends here and I've had some questions about what adapting toys is. My friend Lucas and his cat, Lettie, are here to help me explain. A switch adapted toy has been modified so it can be activated with an external switch instead of tiny buttons or complicated controls. That means children with limited hand strength, range of motion, or motor control can play independently using the access method that works best for them. This is not a new invention or a proprietary idea. In fact you can buy these toys from therapy equipment retailers but the up charge is insane. Our mission is to make adapted toys more financially accessible. We are also passionate about age respectful toys so kids aren't expected to be playing with Fischer Price toys when they're teenagers.
