Task Manager's Startup tab is not the startup list. It is a summary. ⏱️ The rest launches as scheduled tasks, which never appear there: Get-ScheduledTask | Where-Object { $_.Triggers.CimClass.CimClassName -match 'Logon' } | Select-Object TaskName, TaskPath Scroll it. Updaters for software you deleted. Printer helpers for printers you no longer own. Tasks that fire at every logon, fail, and retry. Turn one off: Disable-ScheduledTask -TaskName "THE TASK NAME" Disable, not delete. Reversible in one second if you get it wrong. And leave Microsoft's own tasks alone unless you know exactly what one does — the wins are in leftovers from software that is already gone. Two startup lists, one machine, and only one of them gets a friendly tab. 41 things Windows keeps in places you were never shown 👻 link in bio. Fan-made parody.
