Lesson 6 from analyzing 1,000 studies: vitamin K2 has shown a potentially important effect in liver cancer research. Among people already receiving conventional treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma, adding vitamin K2 was associated with greater protection against cancer progression in several studies. However, the exact form and dose matter enormously. The studies used 45 milligrams of MK-4—not the microgram doses of MK-7 commonly discussed for cardiovascular health. These are not interchangeable. Because vitamin K participates in blood-clotting processes, this finding should not be treated as a reason to self-supplement. Any potential use in this context requires appropriate medical supervision. The full analysis is available to Physionic Insiders through the link in my bio.
