SUNDAY SEEDS OF HOPE 🌿 One of the greatest expressions of faith is being able to praise God while you’re still IN the trial 🙌🏼 It’s easy to praise Him when the prayer has been answered. When the door opens. When the healing comes. When everything finally makes sense. But what about when it doesn’t? What about when you’re still waiting? Still hurting? Still confused? Still praying the same prayer you’ve prayed a hundred times? Can you praise Him there, too? Acts 5:41 has always been such a powerful picture of this to me. After the apostles had been beaten and ordered not to speak in the name of Jesus, Scripture says: “The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.” — Acts 5:41 They didn’t rejoice because suffering felt good. They rejoiced because Jesus was worth it. That’s the kind of faith I want. Not a faith dependent upon everything going my way. Not a faith that only praises when God says yes. But a faith that can say in the middle of the storm: “Lord, I don’t understand this. I don’t know what You’re doing. But I know who You are. And I still trust You.” Maybe you’re walking through something heavy right now. You may feel afraid. You may feel discouraged. You may even wonder if God sees what’s happening. He does. Nothing about your life escapes His attention. He sees the details we see and the ones we don’t. And even when we cannot understand what He is doing, we can anchor ourselves in what we know about His character. So praise Him in the answered prayer. Praise Him in the waiting. Praise Him when the path is clear. And praise Him when all you can see is the next step. Your circumstances may change from season to season. But the God you’re standing on does not.
