🌨️⚡ Did you hear it? Rare thundersnow in the St. Louis area.⚡🌨️ As snow blankets our area, the National Weather Service has confirmed reports of thundersnow southwest of St. Louis. It's like a winter thunderstorm, but with snow instead of rain! Imagine thunder and lightning during a snowstorm. Thundersnow is often accompanied by intense snowfall rates, reduced visibility, and strong winds. So far, the FOX 2 weather team has reported anywhere from 1 to 4 inches of snow for much of the St. Louis area, with places in St. Charles and Warren counties especially impacted.
