One of the strangest parts about unexpectedly losing a job is hearing from the people you served after you’re gone. 🥹 Someone I worked with reached out because her family was still considering the community, and she wanted to know if I would still recommend it now that I’m no longer there. And my answer was yes. Because my experience with my employer doesn’t change the truth about the people I served or the relationships I built while I was there. MOST of my residents were genuinely happy, and I’m grateful for every person who trusted me to help them through such a major transition in their lives. But her last message got me. “You have such a big personality.” 🥹 I do. And maybe this next chapter is about realizing that I needed to learn some things in order to grow! I have my own again now. Life will transition you QUICKLY when it’s time to move. And sometimes the confirmation comes from the people you impacted along the way.
